Story

"Music is the silence between the notes" — a saying often attributed to Claude Debussy. On the surface this experimental textile artwork looks like Finnish Ryijy weaving, but it is actually made in embroidery technique.

Some yarns are traditional — soft and quiet — and some are unexpected: lace, plastic, and handmade ceramic "yarns", creating new sounds when touched. The colours build a rhythm of notes, from silent shades of white to loud neon red and yellow. This is an artwork to be read with the senses.

The last note is added after purchase — a yarn of the collector's choice — and the ceramic plate is signed for the collector. A Certificate of Authenticity is created once the work is finalized, and provided to the collector.
