Layers of Freedom is an ongoing documentary artwork — a growing visual archive of the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, built in layers of discarded parachute and racing sail in the blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag.
The same reclaimed parachute and sail become Varvara’s "I care" pins, whose proceeds seed a non-profit focused on the sustainability of our existence on this planet.
